The Minnewaska Area Dollars for Scholars Chapter is an affiliate of Scholarship America.  Scholarship America is a national program designed to provide financial assistance, academic support, and community support for students seeking post-secondary educational opportunities.  

The mission of Minnewaska Area Dollars for Scholars® is to provide Minnewaska Area seniors with scholarships to further their education.  Through Dollars for Scholars we have the opportunity to make a strong, collective statement about the importance of education beyond high school, providing encouragement and support for our local students.

Minnewaska Area Dollars for Scholars encourages businesses and individuals to support local students through charitable giving.

In May 2023, Minnewaska Area Dollars for Scholars awarded 55 graduating seniors scholarships totaling $133,250.
